Scholarships and educational experiences for art and hospitality professionals.

  • Non-Profit Status.

I wrote the Articles of Incorporation for this non-profit and successfully obtained the 501(c)3 designation from the federal government. I managed multiple social channels in order to market the programs and support the industries we were committed to.

  • Experiential Partnerships.

During the 10+ years of the non-profits programming, I partnered with events like San Diego Bartender’s Weekend, Imbibe’s Negroni Week, and cocktail classes at The Mixing Glass. Through these partnerships we raised funds, distributed scholarships, and brought tactile education to the forefront of the conversation. Through these programs we reached over 300,000 people across the globe.

  • Scholarships.

From 2012 to 2023 I distributed 40+ scholarships. These scholarships were applied for, assessed by an elected board, and distributed as reimbursements for experiences. We sent bartenders to the largest cocktail events with educational elements such as Portland Cocktail Week and Tales of the Cocktail. The scholarship was also used to send sommeliers to Spain and Europe to learn about winemaking and grape growing. Brewers were sent to Germany to learn about specific kinds of beer. Most commonly scholarships were used to pay for testing of Sommeliers, Cicerones, and other certifications.
